My Halloween of 2009

Sat Oct 31, 2009, 6:54 PM
Hey peeps! I'm writing about my Halloween today... it was pretty fun, but there were still some bad-ish parts about it. ANYWAY, in the morning, as usual, I got up at around 11:30. I checked my messages on my new cell phone and texted Rachel (~1gymnast1) and Emily (~kakashigirl1995) at the same time while I was on the bathroom, so I stayed in there for a really long time because whenever a text went out another text came in. Finally I went downstairs and watched Spongebob for an hour or so. My dad came downstairs and brought me breakfast–Annie's Chocolate and Vanilla Bunnies–and I ate them. After that, I suggested that we go see the Harry Potter Exhibit and the Science Museum. Dad and I got ready, and then we went to the library, hoping to get passes. They were all out though. And while we were there, I had to return my Pendragon book (that I wasn't finished with) that was already overdue, which I will have to pay for one of these days...
Anyway, the passes were all out, so we just decided to go regular. We drove into Porter Square, parked the car, and went into the subway station for the red line train. We rode the red line (without being separated) to Park St. where we got off and changed for the green line train. After we got off the green line at Science Park, we walked over to the science museum. As soon as we walked in the door we saw the giant horse chess piece that Ron rides in the first movie. It was amazing! I wanted to get on and ride it!
When we went to pay, we looked at the prices... 26$ for an adult, 23$ for children. That would be a total of 49$, and we really can't afford to pay that much these days! Daddy thought that it would be around 10 or 15$. We really should have gotten that pass earlier in the week. I started to cry... I didn't want daddy to spend that much money, but at the same time I wanted to go see the exhibit. Daddy said we could go, even though I was a bit unsure to whether he was actually willing to spend that much money or if he just did it because I was crying. Either way, we got tickets, and the guy also gave us free tickets to the regular museum for another time.
We went up the stairs an came to the entrance. There was a small group of people there, and it moved quickly. The group stopped at a platform with a stool on it. A guy with an authentic British accent explained some things to us. Then he asked for a volunteer. I raised my hand, but another girl was picked. The guy asked her what her favorite house was. She said Gryfinndor. Then he put the Sorting hat on her head and it announced (through speakers on the walls) that she was in Gryfinndor. Then he asked for another volunteer, and I was picked! He asked me what my favorite house was, and I said Ravenclaw. He said, "Ah, a bit of a brainiac then?" I smiled and said yes. because it's true. The hat announced I was in Ravenclaw. After that, another person went and was sorted into Slytherin because she didn't know much about Harry Potter. When that was over, we went into a dark room and watched clips of Harry Potter movies. Then the curtain lifted and we all walked into a room with multiple props set up, and it went on like that for the rest of the exhibit. It was AWESOME–there were the actual clothes worn by the cast, Harry's glasses, their dormitory beds and nightstands, almost everybodies' wands, the sorcerers stone and time turner, everyone's outfits and robes, Harry and Draco's broomsticks, the Quidditch balls, Professor Umbridges office with the paper that says "I will not tell lies", the Gryfinndor common room message board, educational decrees, some stuff from the great hall including Bertie Bott's every flavor beans and Chocolate Frogs, Hagrid's hut with his chair (I sat in it with my dad!), a thestral baby (one of my favorites), Buckbeak the hippogryff, and pretty much anything and everything else you could think of!!! It was SOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!
After we sucessfully rode the trains back, we were starving. As we arrived and drove into the driveway, we saw that many people were already trick-or-treating. We weren't home and we didn't have any candy! When we got in, I relaxed and watched TV. The doorbell rang. It was Susannah, Allison, and Erin. I said, "Hey guys! What do you want?""Candy.""Well, we don't have any candy. Sorry!" The next time I was nicer. "Hey there! I'm really sorry, we just got home, and we don't have any candy. Sorry about that!" I finally ate dinner, and mom suggested that I don't go trick-or-treating this year. I really wanted to. So I partially got into my equestrian costume, skipping the white shirt and my riding boots, and rode my stick horse Snowflake into the darkness with my dad. Nobody else was out trick-or-treating anymore. It didn't feel like Halloween. I was depressed. We didn't trick-or-treat nearly as far as we usually do, because it didn't feel right. I got some candy, but I didn't really care. Now I'm tired and a bit sad, because:
a. My dad spent too much money
b. Halloween wasn't very Halloweenie.
But overall, I'd have to say it was a pretty good day on the Annie scale. I had some major fun.

Mini Deviant Meet!!!!

Fri Sep 4, 2009, 5:28 PM
If you have a watch on ~kakashigirl1995 :iconkakashigirl1995: then you already know what happened, but you should read this anyway. If you don't have a watch on her, plz click on her icon and go do than right now. Anyway, I am on vacation in NJ. my grandma lives in Wildwood, and Emily lives in the next town over!! :excited: So as soon as we became friends, we planned this. We left our house at quarter to 12 and arrived late because MapQuest was a fail. But Emily and I exchanged gifts and had lunch on her awesome back porch. Then Emily gave me the...... :boogie:GRAND TOUR!!!:boogie: Her house is megawickedawesome. We went to her room and looked at fails and completely awesome sketches that she better post here! And we chatted and stuffs. I also got to see her dog Bella and her kitties who were SOOO cute!! And I also got to see behind the scenes of where she puts up her deviations with her awesome WIRELESS KEYBOARD!!!! Then we went out to her barn, and I helped groom and tack her pony Peppy. She rode him first in the micro-teeny-miniature indoor arena and then I did. We walked trotted and cantered. Peppy's canter is megawickedawesome. Except I kept feeling like I was going to crash into walls because I'm not used to arenas that small:XD:! I had to roll my stirrups TWICE, and neither Emily nor I knew how to do it, so it was a mega fail. But it worked, so we must've done something right:D! I was DYING to jump over something (addiction- what can I say?) but Emily said that there were no jumps except in a paddock on the other side of the lake. And they were fails. But I managed to set up a cute little cross rail when we walked Peppy outside to cool off. He jumped it while trotting with Emily leading him, and since we found that fence, Emily and I are going to ride in there tomorrow (or whenever) and practice jumping. Not too high, since Emily hasn't jumped in a while, but she'll remember as soon as she starts. I CANNOT WAIT!!! Emily, if you are reading this, please call me so we can organize a get-together. I'd really like to do the jumping, and after that maybe I could even show you Seahorse Farm!

Then we got slushies and water ices, which were DELISH, and I was sad to go. I also left my flip-flops there, but who cares? I had SOOOO much fun, I hope we do it again tomorrow! And the next day. ANd the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And... You get my point! ^^;

I Got Stuck on a Train Before my Dad could get on!

Sun Aug 23, 2009, 9:20 AM
:worry: Jeez, it makes me nervous even to write about it! But, I like to write down important things in my life so I can always keep them, so here it is: Me and one of my friends (Eva, from anxiety camp) decided to go to a Greenfest (environmentally friendly stuff–yay!:meow:) in Boston. I like to use every excuse possible to take the subway, because I find it fun! (Not anymore, though.) So we took the MBTA Red Line train, then switched and rode the Green Line for one stop. Then we got to Government Center and walked outside to see the Greenfest. It was really cool. They had high-tech energy efficient cars, and one of them ran on wood!:o We also saw enery efficient home supplies, and Eva and I did this experiment with M&M's to see how we could reduce harmful things to the Earth (don't ask). It was 86 degrees farenheit and, like, 80% humidity! I was DYING out there!!!!!:tombstone: So we go into this big building (I forget the name... something Hall) and walk ALL the way to the other end and FINALLY get overpriced ice-cream that isn't as good as the stuff we get at home. So then we go into Newbury Comics and I get this really cool 3-d drawing pad that turns your drawings 3d when you look at them through the glasses. I used it to draw the picture: 3-d Doodles of Fear and Love. ANYWAY, then me and Eva looked at some funny LOLcat books while my dad waited outside, and then we went back to the train station to catch the (gulp) dreaded Green Line train:ohnoes:. But I didn't know it at the time. Anyway, when we got there there was this green line that was just about to leave, but Eva was a little bit behind, so my Dad said to me, "get on first." So I did, but then just as they were about to get on the doors closed, and I pounded on the door and my dad pounded on the door and then they were running alongside the train (thank god it was the Green Line that only goes, like, 2 miles an hour) and he was giving me the "one minute" sign with his index finger (little did I know that he actually meant, "one stop." And then he wasn't running alongside the train anymore, both of them were swallowed by the darkness. I was obviously in major panic mode, being Annie with severe separation anxiety, but I swear the camp helped because at that time, I wasn't worried, I was scared! Oh, and did I mention there was no one else in the train car? that's because it was turning around the little station to go the other way. Anyway, in like, two seconds I dashed further into the train car:sprint: and found an emergency intercom button (thank freakin' god for emergency intercoms!!:phew: So without thinking I pressed it and a black lady's head stuck out of the little compartment at the front of the car and yelled, "Hello?" So I run up to her and I'm hyperventilating and stuff but I manage to say (not calmly) "Well I got on the train at government center (where we were) and then the doors closed so my dad and my friend couldn't get on so now I'm just on here by myself!!!!" So she asked me a couple questions like my name, how old I was, when I got on (a few seconds ago) and then the train pulled back into government center in the other direction and the lady called for a security dude and the dude asked me the same questions (I'm still hyperventilating and on the verge of tears, here) and then he asked me what my daddy looked like and I told him he had a dark green shirt on with a white symbol and it said "six hertz." And then I tried calling him from the dude's cell phone but I only got an answering machine, my worst nightmare, and I yell to the dude, "He's not the-he-he-here!" and I'm still holding his phone, but he says, "don't worry, we'll find him." And then I realize the phone is still in my hand recording a message so I quickly yell "Daddy? Are you there? Please come find me, I'm back at government center where we started, so..." I forget the rest of the message, it was so desperate. Anyway, we're just looking around, and I'm still not crying but madly hyperventilating, and just when all hell breaks loose and I try calling him again, the dude says, "is that him?" and I realize it is, it's him and Eva, and I run up to him and we embrace in a hug that radiates light and nothing else exists. And also I start bawling my eyes out.:iconcryingplz: I love my daddy even more now, although I didn't think that was possible. Anyway, we get on the next evil green line–ALL TOGETHER–and start talking about what happened. We were so enveloped in our conversation that we missed our stop. Frankly, I really didn't care. But then my dad realized and we got back to our stop, and then we went to the red line station, saw a little ball on the tracks (poor thing) and made up a song called "All the Right Things" because that's what my dad said I did. Eventually, we all got home in one piece, and then I drew the 3d doodles of fear and love, and yadda yadda. I am pretty proud of myself because my dad said I did the right things, and I thought I would get the worries but I just got scared, and I didn't throw up either!:iconcheerplz: Thanks for listening to my horror story of fear and love. I also apologize for the run-on sentences, but in situations like this, I feel they're necessary to display the complete and total panic and such. Hope you never get stuck on a train! :sarcasm:

Aquaruim, and an arm in pain!

Thu Jul 30, 2009, 7:17 AM
Hey guys. Right now I am pretty much only typing with one arm. That's because my left arm is in pain!!!! I didn't break it or sprain it, but I got two shots in the exact same place. A booster and a tetanus shot. It didn't hurt too badly when I got it, but for the whole day after that I was in pain and could'nt do anything with my aching left arm, including bending it! These side effects were worse than last year. At least there's no riding today!! Well, even if riding WAS today, I'd still go. NOTHING STOPS ME FROM RIDING!!! :iconridingplz:

Also, a few days ago Daddy took me to the aquarium. It was some of the most fun of my life!! We saw penguins, seals, fish, turtles, sharks, stingrays, and (my personal favorite) Hermit crabs and Seahorses! The hermit crabs were marine, but I still knew a lot about them. During the presentation at the touchtank, I told the nice lady Sam about my five hermit crabs and that I just love them. So, for any hermit crab questions, she wanted ME to answer! Cool, no? :iconproudplz: She also said I should sign up for employment there and I would have a lot of fun. Anyway, most of the hermies were smalls or micros, and they were shy. But I picked up a medium and he LOVED me! I only held him underwater of course, but he stayed on me for a good half hour before we had to leave the touch tank. I named him Sam. At the gift shop, we were searching all over, and then I finaklly got to the back corner and founf stuffed hermitcrabs!! I got one and named him Sam. It was so much FUN at the aquarium!!! :iconcheerplz:
